My, my, time has flown since I last blogged about books I've read. It's been like 2 months or something.
Books I've read recently:
--#5 Memnoch the Devil, Anne Rice
--#6 The Vampire Armand, Anne Rice
The first four of Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles were fantastic, but #5 and #6 were slightly less exciting for me. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoyed them, but there was just something missing.
--Water for Elephants, Sara Gruen
This was an amazing read. Incidentally enough, I saw the movie when I was halfway through the book and let me tell you, once again, the book is far better than the movie. Read it if you haven't.
--Red Riding Hood, Sarah Blakley-Cartwright and David Leslie Johnson
I read this in a day, and I have to say it's a nice twist to the classic story. I almost want to see the movie, even though I know I'll be disappointed.
--Forrest Gump, Winston Groom
I went into this book with the images from the movie in my head and let me tell you, the book is so NOT like the movie. In the book, Forrest becomes an Astronaut, a pro-wrestler, a chess champion, and he does not end up with Jenny in the end. It's really interesting though.
--The Secret Holocaust Diaries, The Untold Story of Nona Bannister, Nona Bannister, Carolyn Tomlin and Denise George
This free Kindle book was ok. I'm always amazed and disgusted at the awfulness of human beings. Ugh.
Next up on my list:
-- The Host, Stephenie Meyer
--#7 Merrick, Anne Rice
Books I STILL need to read:
--The Glass Castle, Jeannette Walls
--The Glass Castle, Jeannette Walls
--Darkest Mercy (Wicked Lovely Series), Melissa Marr
--City of Fallen Angels (Mortal Instruments, Book 4), Cassandra Clare
--Dead Reckoning (Sookie Stackhouse, Book 11), Charlaine Harris
Books I'm waiting to be released:
--(June 4) Passion (Third in Fallen Series), Lauren Kate
