Miles 9 months

A week ago, Miles ran past the 9 month mark. I don't know what's wrong with him. None of my other kids grew up this fast. 

He's now the smallest one of the bunch at this age. I attribute that to not being formula fed. This is not entirely my choice, but somewhere along the way, Miles decided he would not drink formula if presented and would only consume breast milk. It's not really a big deal. I'm pretty much here all the time, but in the early days he drank formula so I didn't exactly freeze a bunch of extra breast milk when I should have and now I have to somehow pump and save some for those times I'm not here to feed him. What a pain. 

As far as Miles goes, he's still the best baby in the world. Even on those mornings when he decides to wake up me up for the day between 2 and 4 a.m. He just gets up and happily plays and plays while I watch whatever I have on DVR. Then when he's finally tired, he crawls up on my lap and I rock him until he goes to sleep. There's really not much fussing involved with this kid. 

He has 3 teeth now and another one that just won't cut through his gums. I can see it, but it just hasn't come down yet. He's also a pro at crawling, pulling up on things, cruising the furniture and is working on the whole standing solo thing. At his 9 month well-child, he stood on his own, then took a step forward. I told the doctor he was just showing off because that's the first time he's really done that without holding on to anything. 

He loves to wander the house playing with anything he comes across. His favorite is when he reaches the dog bowls. It's a race to see how fast he can get dog food in his mouth before someone sees him. His other favorite is finding the bathroom door open. Turns out the toilet is perfect height to hold onto and stand. 

In conclusion, he's growing, he's happy and he's healthy. I really couldn't ask for anything more.

Miles: 14lb 7oz., 26.25 inches
Macy: 16lb 7oz., 25 inches
Parker: 15lb 15oz., 25.75 inches

2 months:

Miles: 12lbs 3oz., 24 inches

Macy: 11lbs 10oz., 23.25 inches

Parker: 12lbs 5oz., 23 inches
