Oh whoops, I never blogged after the half marathon. I guess it really doesn't matter because nobody reads this thing anyway.
But, how did I do? Well, it was my fastest half to date at 2h 14m 18s. It was disappointing however because I really had a 2h 05m goal in my head when I started out. I was on track up to the 10k mark, then I slowed a bit to the 15k mark and then I crashed and burned to the finish, where the heat or something got to me. I had to walk part of it and it was crushing to my mindset.
Part of me says, sign up for another one this year. Prove to yourself you can do it. But then another part of me says, just focus on the smaller races this year and try again next year. We'll see though. I seem to always sign up for something else after each run I do, so who freaking knows what I'll do. One thing I'm not going to do.. A full marathon. That's just crazy!
This weekend Dale and I are doing another Warrior Dash together. Then next weekend I have the Cornfield to Cornfield 10k. I've also signed up for like 3 more 5k's and another 10k and an 8k on top of those I think.
Since the half I've also done the 21 day fix, which resulted in 8.5lbs and 21 inches gone from my body. Maybe I'll be faster now for my short races. :)
