The Dish Life: Miles 12 months

Miles turned a whole year old a whole month ago. Holy toledo.

He was officially a walker somewhere around 11 months. He took steps here and there at 10.5 but once he figured it out, he really just took off. He loves to follow the dog around and steal his toys. Koda then chases Miles to get his toy back and oh it's such a fun giggling game! Also fun is dumping out Koda's food and water bowls each and every day. I try to keep them up, but the dog's got to eat and drink at some point, so I can't make them disappear all the time.

Miles has been moving out of his role as the happiest baby ever, into the role of I found my voice and I'm getting my way. When he's good, he's so super good, but sometimes he just cries and screams and needs to be held and that part is frustrating. It just takes me back to Macy who was that way for oh .... 3 straight years. (How we survived, I have no idea.)

He says a few words, mama, dada, Koda, hello, uh oh, but he babbles and squeals a whole lot. He's pretty cute and is still quite the joy to be around (even when he's fussy).

So that's that. My Miles is one. I can't believe how incredibly fast this last year has gone and that my baby is no longer just a baby, but a toddler. Sad and exciting all wrapped up in one bunch!
