3:15 a.m

I haven't blogged in forever. I'm a busy human, what can I say? So, if I'm so darn busy, why blog now you ask? Well...

It's the middle of the night. Or morning. It's three frickin' fifteen in the morning and I'm up. It's ridiculous. Around 1:00 a.m., Macy crawled into bed with me and I've been up ever since. My stupid mind won't shut up, so I'm going to aimlessly type out a synopsis of the highlights of the year so far so I can bore myself back to bed. Here goes.

In April, Macy had her very first dance recital. There were three girls in her class. The first recital show, only two of them made it on stage and of the two, she was the only one who danced. The crowd cheered for her and clapped along to the music and she just gave it her all. I was so ridiculously proud of her and I signed her up for another year of dance on the spot.

At the end of April, Dale went back down to Fort Rucker, Alabama for a 6 week Safety Course. That left me here with the three amigos for about 7 weeks. I'm surprised I didn't blog about it at all because easy it was not. Turns out doing the not-so-single mom thing with 3 kids is a whole lot harder than it was with just 2. I kind of want to go back in time and slap myself for whining so much when Dale was in Afghanistan. Or go further back and really slap myself when it was just me and Parker. Man I had it good then. Haha. In the end, even though it wasn't a cake walk, the kids and I made it through just fine. Good thing because Dale's soon leaving again for another 30 days.
What happens when Dale gets home.
My bff, Casey, got married in May. I was the matron of honor and an honor it was and Parker got to be the ring bearer. The day was gorgeous and everything went amazing. To really show how much I cared, I gave an epic rap speech to the tune of "Ice Ice Baby" and although I flubbed a few lines, it went off better than I ever could have hoped.

Macy "graduated" her first year of pretty school. This fall she's moving up to go to Parker's school and will begin her second of three years of pretty school. She's going to be the smartest kindergartener ever when she finally gets there.

Parker started his first year of baseball. He did a pretty good job, but is more into goofing off and socializing than being competitive. It drives me nuts, but I hope as he grows, he gets a little bit more into becoming a better ball player. In the meantime, at least he looks adorable in the uniform.

Miles, well, he's just been a growing like crazy. His new obsession has been to pull the cereal boxes out, harass me until I give him a little in a bowl, then he goes and dumps it out somewhere. He does the same things to the dog food and water and I now have to keep that outside on the porch so poor Koda has to go outside to drink. He's starting to talk a little bit more and now in addition to Mom, Dad and Koda says nana (banana), wow, now, and cracker.

At the beginning of June, my sisters, mom, brother-in-law, me and the kids all went camping for three days at Lewis and Clark lake. We rented a few cabins and just spent the days hanging out/fishing/swimming. It was a pretty great time, but I can say 3 days without TV or electronics were a bit much for the kids and by the last night, we had no choice but to bring out the ipads or risk losing sanity. I do love it when my family can all get together though. It's nice to be around people who understand my oddities because they themselves are equally as odd. :)

The last thing I have to share is this lovely picture of our hail damaged house. A random 8:30 a.m. storm left us with an estimated $21,000 worth of damage to our property. Real neat mother nature, real neat.

It's now four in the frickin' morning, so with that I'm going to try to get a few hours of sleep before I wake to start the day. Maybe I'll blog again soon, but then again, history shows I suck at keeping up these days, so I wouldn't count on it.
