Loser blogger

Wow, I'm a loser. Not a single blog post since August. What the crap?

Funny how time slips by isn't it? For example, my sweet little tiny baby Miles is now a big boy who knows to get a towel if he spills and says about a million and a half words. Ok, that's an obvious exaggeration, but he does talk a lot and that little bugger knows how to use it to his advantage. My favorite being when he looks up at me with those big blue eyes and just says Mommy. Such a sweetheart he is. When we let the do out, he yells "go pee," he calls Macy "sissy," his milk "silk," and when the kids get on the bus for school he always says "sissy bus, sissy cool." He enjoys terrorizing his sister and the dog and uses only square legos to build towers upon towers. My baby is so no longer a baby. :(

Miss Macy is growing into a big smarty tarty. She's all about writing letters, coloring and counting. If she gets one of those preschool books where they practice writing, counting, etc., she'll work through it page by page in about a day. I can't keep up sometimes. Colors, paints, projects ... I think I have to replace the paper in my printer every other day since she robs me of it to make things all the time. I don't mind of course. Today I received a very nice picture of a heart that said MOM and I also got a paper plate with a rainbow, stars and a butterfly painted on it. For a 4 year old, I think she's got some superior artistic skills. We signed up for another year of dance and she loves loves loves it.

Then there's my giant boy Parkerpants. The kids seriously grown an inch since school started. His feet are getting excessively large as well (I can wear his socks) and his big huge brain is spewing smartness all over the place. I don't know if it's the 2nd grade teachers or that he's just maturing (or maybe both) but I can really tell a difference in his attitude about school and he's really rocking his schoolwork. He's turning into a reader (yay!) and I'm really really proud of him. He's a busy boy, doing cubscouts, basketball and wrestling this year. I was kind of shocked they started bball already in 2nd grade, but I guess it's to start teaching them the fundamentals or something. I don't know. We'll attend what we can, if he wants to do it. I figure it's not a bad thing to have him have a fun physical activity to do.

As for Dale and I, we've been busy with careers, kids, life ... You know, the regular. I'm currently flying solo again for 5.5 weeks while Dale attends a transition course for the Army. This time he's learning to fly the UH-72 Lakota helicopter. It's hard being married to someone so talented. I'm over here like, Oh you fly helicopters? Well, I can drive a mini-van. Haha!

I should blog more. I forgot how nice it was to just sit down and let my mind fall out onto my keyboard.
