Accountability for Running

Hi. You might remember me. I'm Gail. Writer of this blog turned bluh. I'm non exciting people. I'm busy. I can't find time. I'm full of excuses.

But…

I signed up for a few runs in 2015 and rather than sharing my progress on Facebook, with a bunch of people who can probably outrun me and make fun of me, I'm going to use this blog to share my progress and maybe hold myself more publicly accountable for the year. So you two, or maybe three, people who visit the ol' dishlife occasionally will be my supporters. The only rule is no negative feedback. My own mind is negative enough when it comes to things. :)

For the year I have on my agenda: A warrior dash (which is a 5k), a half marathon, two 5k's, an 8k and two 10k's. The first of these is a 5k in February and the last is a 5k in December. My thinking is if I signed up and paid for races throughout the year, I will have to actually train the entire year, rather than just running a bunch in the spring, then quitting after the half like I have in past years.

Today began the start of my 2015 running season and I ran 3 miles non-stop. I'm not going to share my times or anything, but I will share my distance and a comparison to how much I ran at this point in prior years.
