Racing the race

This morning I got up and just got dressed in my running clothes. My thought process was if I look the part, maybe it'll motivate me to get out in the cold. It worked! 2.5 miles on a day in which the temp feels like 28 degrees with the wind chill. I had my ears covered and gloves on and to be honest, it felt great. I could have gone further, but I had to get home before the bus brought Macy home from preschool. 

Speaking of Macy, she won the open class race at the Pinewood Derby this last weekend. She's talked about it nearly non-stop since it happened. It was absolutely the very best moment of the day. Everyone was cheering for her, even the four adults that she was competing against. It was adorable.
