Christmas countdown

Santa's coming in 3 days! You see, he knew that we weren't going to be home on the 25th, so he told us that he'd visit the night of the 12 instead. I think that's pretty nice of Santa to come early so we don't miss Christmas. :) We were going to wait to have Santa come until next weekend, but since we're flying to Nebraska next Sunday, we didn't think it'd be fair to only have one day to play with the presents.

Parker's pretty excited. We created a Christmas countdown a few weeks ago and every night before bed he puts a sticker on the next number of the countdown. He knows that the night he puts a sticker on the number 1, Santa will come. He also knows that the number 1 means he'll get to open a single present before he goes to bed. The lucky boy.

We took Parker to see the real Santa yesterday. We know he's the real guy because he brought snow with him to Alabama. :) Parker told him he wanted a big orange truck and Santa said he'd try his best. He also made him an orange balloon animal wiener dog and gave him some reindeer antlers. When we asked Parker what he wanted, he said what Santa already gave me. Good thing too because I don't think Santa's going to be bringing that big orange truck for which he asked. Oops.
