Running crazy!

It's a good thing I didn't dilly dally on signing up for the Lincoln Half Marathon this year. According to the Lincoln Journal Star, the 35th Annual Lincoln National Guard Marathon and Half Marathon reached it's 10,000 person limit in 27 days, 18 hours and 40 minutes. That's the fastest this race has reached it's limit. Crazy.

I've started training. Barely. I ran 3 times in December for a total of 7 miles. That's not very good considering last December I ran 18.26 miles. The good news is I feel so much better physically than I did last year that I'm not too concerned about my lack of December miles. I'm starting out in much better shape than I did last time and I don't think it will take near as long to get up to speed.

I will be ready to run with my 10,000 cohorts May 6 and I'm going to try my hardest to do an even better job than I did last year. I'm really excited to have the opportunity to run it again.
