This is how our nights have gone for the past week or so:
1. Macy falls asleep in living room.
2. Macy gets put in her crib, where she sleeps for 2 hours.
3. Macy wakes up screaming, wants out of her crib and into mom and dad's bed.
4. Mom changes Macy's diaper, gets her some milk and finds her pacifier. But leaves her in her crib.
5. Macy has fit until she finally falls back asleep.
6. Macy, mom and dad all sleep for a few hours.
7. Macy wakes up screaming, wants out of her crib and into mom and dad's bed.
8. Mom attempts to get her comfortable, but again does not give in to putting Macy in the big bed.
9. Mom goes and sleeps in Parker's room
10. Macy screams until she falls back asleep.
11. Mom sneaks back into her own bed and falls asleep.
12. Macy wakes up screaming, wants out of her crib and into mom and dad's bed.
13. Mom lays in bed wishing she was someone else until Macy falls back asleep.
14. Macy wakes up screaming, wants out of her crib and into mom and dad's bed.
15. Mom puts Macy in her bed to get that a good 42 minutes of sleep until her alarm will go off.
So, why do I even make her cry it out? Well I don't want her to get in the habit of sleeping in my bed. When she's in my bed, I end up a comma, exactly as the graphic I've created for this post. I hate it. The experts say that if you do this or that, your kid will sleep. Well I say what the F ever experts. I've tried it all, nothing works for my little Miss Macy.
Meh. Experts don't know squat (most of the time). My daughter slept in my bed for awhile and she's a normal, well-adjusted kid. You have to get your sleep, too. Each kid is different - I say let her sleep in your bed when you can just so you can get some rest.
