1/3 full or 2/3 empty?

We've officially made it 1/3 of the way, or 92 days, through this deployment. Time sure flies... wait, no it doesn't.

This whole Afghanistan thing is a different monster than the times when Dale's just gone somewhere in the States. There is so much more emotion and energy involved in the day to day. Between Dale and the kids, there is much more to worry about and it makes each day that much longer.

At this juncture, I can either look at this deployment as a glass 1/3 full or 2/3 empty. I wouldn't say I'm always 100% on either side on any given day. When we have good days, I'm probably more optimistic. When I have a terrible day, I fall on the other side. Every day is different, as life always is.

I knew I was going to be able to make it this far, just based upon my 3 months of being a not-so-single mom last summer when Dale was training in Alabama. Tomorrow will be the first day of the unknown for me. The start of month 4.
