Sorry it's been a while since my last post. My best pal Casey flew in from Nebraska Friday morning, and just left today so I've been busy. I'm pretty tired, so I'll just do a quick recap of the weekend.
The kids and I picked up Casey at the Panama City Beach airport Friday, went to the beach for a few hours. Casey and Parker played in the ocean and picked up seashells while Macy napped and I relaxed. That evening, I was viciously attacked in the eyes by an allergen and my itchy, red, watering eyes put a damper on my sleep that night.
Saturday, after a few doses of benadryl and some eye drops, we joined the Nebraska folk for the Husker game and a dinner of Dale's wild hog. The girls and I made plans to meet up later for a night on the town that turned into a 9 to 3ish excursion that included an after hours breakfast at the Koffee Kettle.
On Sunday we eventually found ourselves finally taking a tour of Fort Rucker and me showing Casey the airfields and the PX. Dale cooked us a steak dinner and we stayed up chatting and relaxing.
Today the kids and I took Casey out for lunch before I drove her back to the airport in Panama City Beach. It was a great weekend, and it was just what I needed. Thanks for coming to visit pal. You're the greatest!
