Oh what a day I have had.
Since it's the weekend, I was lucky enough to get to go running again. It was a cool 47 out, but I donned my shorts and took off anyway. My goal was to run at least 4 miles today, so I just went at my normal pace and got lost in my iPod. At around the 3.5 mile mark, I decided that I'd just run until I reached 45 straight minutes instead of just stopping at the 4 mile mark. Off I went again, and like Forrest Gump, I decided to just keep running. :) When I finally decided to stop and go home, I had run 6 miles! Six! 6!
I can't tell you how awesome I think it is that I was able to run that. If I would have gone just another half mile, which I could have physically, I would have ran a half-half marathon! Whoohoo.
To top off this day of me amazing myself, I stepped in the scale and saw the lowest number I've seen in a year. Yay for a weight loss victory. Finally.
Whoo hoo... and just a few days ago you had no motivation. Guess that proves again - "this too shall pass" ...whatever the case may be. Now... me, today is to be my first official day of starting training for running 6 miles non stop. ... You're already there, how nice. Go Gail.
