Busy Summer

The very nice part about being back in Nebraska is it seems like we have a ton of things to do, and as you can probably tell by my sparse blog posts, we've been taking advantage of being home.

One of the first things we did when we got back was go to the Lincoln Children's Museum. It is a fantastically fun place to take small children. It has all sorts of areas for kids to play such as a grocery store, a treehouse, a farm, a doctor's office, a spaceship, a firetruck, and tons more. There's always something to do there, and it's all indoors, which is a huge selling point for me. We decided to go ahead and purchase a membership too so that we could go anytime. Here are a few photo's from our first trip.

We also made sure to hit up the Dinosaur Museum at the Milford Interchange. I mean, who can resist following that big dinosaur they have sitting just off the interstate? The price was slightly steep, but it is a pretty cool place. They have a bunch of dinosaur and dinosaur bone replica's that Parker really loved. They also had a sweet mirror maze that was probably the funnest part though. Just watching Parker attempt his way through was super hilarious. We had to go through twice it was so funny.

Other things we've done this summer include a trip to the Henry Doorly Zoo, a visit to the dentist, going camping at Lovewell Reservoir, watching softball games, going on walks, going to the pool and just this past weekend went on a family trip to the Black Hills. Parker has also attended Vacation Bible School, had his first day of swim lessons today, and is signed up for story time at the library in Seward all next week. Busy busy busy ;)
