These are examples of these occurrences:
• My husband and I make plans one weekend to do something without the kids and that's the weekend Macy gets her first ear infection.
• I made plans to get up super early to work while the kids slept and both woke up early that day.
• I decided I was going to stay up late to work while the kids slept and they both stayed up late that night.
• I wanted to get a good night's sleep but Macy woke up 27 times.
• And right now, all I want to do is go to bed so I can get up in 5 hours and go to the airport, but that one stupid thing I have to complete tonight will not export into a pdf for the life of me. Figures right?
These sorts of things always happen to me though. I'm sure I have a million more instances, but I'm too tired to think of them right now. Oh speaking of tired, apparently Macy knows I'm ready for bed because she's up. Super. Just super.
Oh, those babies have a supernatural connection to us for sure! It isn't just you it happens to - if that makes it any easier to take; probably not but at least don't feel like you're the only one.
ReplyDeleteOne time I recall looking SO forward to the kids being off to school and I didn't have to be to work early; I had my mind all set to listen to some good old music loudly and jazzercize to it once the kids were out the door to school. ...........and one kid wound up having to stay home from school that day for being sick!! And this is when my kids were all in high school. ...And I wasn't about to jazzercize with anyone else in the house! I was really upset even though it was no one's fault. I was so looking forward to that "me time." And that's just one instance for me as well.
It's how life goes; if it isn't one thing or kid, it's another. :) Just keep hanging in there, when you look back with "kindsight" it really isn't that big of deal, an inconvenience, but we adapt.
