When I was little, I always loved getting the Scholastic book orders from school. I'd go through it a million times before I finally decided what I wanted. Most times my mom said no, but sometimes she said yes and that was a happy day for this girl.
The joy has continued. Parker has officially figured out how awesome the Scholastic book orders are. Yesterday he came home with two and he spent a lot of time looking through them, deciding what he wanted. He got a marker and circled everything he wanted, which were mostly science books. I told him that we weren't going to buy them all, so he went back through and put a smiley face by the ones he really really wanted. :)
I still can't afford to buy all the smiley faced books, but I will do my best to get him some of the ones he wanted. How can you say no to books? This mom sure can't.
