10 Years!?!

In spite of my best efforts to stay young forever, I am reluctant to say that in a few short months, I will celebrate my 10 year high school class reunion. 


Who was I ten years ago? 


Well, I was a dorky teenager, just like everyone else. I knew so much and had life figured out. I spent way too much money on clothes, cared too much about things that would never matter and did stupid things that were super fun.  


Essentially, I was a younger, less confident, version of who I am today. 


If I could go back and do it all over again, I'd probably stick up for myself a lot more than I did. I wouldn't let that dumb high school BS bother me as much, and I would be way more easy-going. I might care a little more about peoples perceptions of me too. Most importantly, I would care about my GPA a little bit more. It would have made college a little bit easier I think. 


Then again, maybe I wouldn't change a thing. I became who I am because of my past, and other than my occasional moodiness, I like who I am. I'm not dishonest, I work hard, I give my family everything I've got, plus, I am the funniest person I know. 


10 years has gone fast, but my personal growth during that time has been amazing. I'm excited to see how the rest of my class has turned out. We didn't have a 5 year reunion, so I really hope we have the ten. It'd be nice to see everyone again.
