One would think that with such nice weather, running would be easier. Well I'll tell you that this is so untrue, it's uncool.
The truth is, it's so nice, it's almost too hot to run. It's March in Nebraska and it's almost too freaking hot to run. I can't get over it.
My magic running temperature is somewhere in the 55 to 60 degree range. It's not cold enough that I'm freezing and it's not hot enough to make me sweat. I've run my best times when the temperature falls in that mid-range.
I did go run today in the 75 degree weather. I made it 2 miles, but got really hot and the quality of my run suffered. A complete bummer.
Sometime in the next 4 days, I'm going to attempt a 7-8 mile run. If the weather stays like this, I'm going to have to wait until the evening, which means I won't be running on the road. Guess I'm stuck to running approximately 28-32 laps on the school track. How boring.
