Parker's surgery went pretty well. He wasn't scared at all and was telling knock knock jokes up until the time they took him back. The doctor ended up having to make an incision in order to get the pins in exactly how he wanted them. This meant that Parker got to stay the night in the hospital with his daddy. He really did amaze me because the process didn't seem to phase him at all.
And as if the surgery wasn't going to be memorable enough, he did the funniest thing. At a shift change, we had two nurses in the room discussing his status and he decided to make a little production. First he pulled up his gown, so he was showing off his soccer ball undies. Then he shifted his body and legs. When everyone started to notice him and wonder what he was up to, he lifts his leg and farts super loud. It was so embarrassing but hilarious at the same time. Everyone in the room just laughed and Parker was all proud of himself, the funny guy.
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers and thank you to Dale's grandparents, Ev and Dale, for watching Macy. The day would have been a lot harder had you not been here.
