Books I've recently read:
--The Host, Stephenie Meyer
I LOVED this book. It was so different from the Twilight series she created, and it was such a fresh idea. Well, at least fresh in the arena of books I read. If you like sci-fi stuff, you'll like this book.
--#7 Merrick, Anne Rice
It took me a while to get into this one. I think that maybe it's because after the seventh book in the Vampire Chronicles, I might be a little vampired out. Once I got going though, it was pretty good. I'll continue on with the series, but after a little break.
--Lies that Chelsea Handler Told Me, A Chelsea Handler Book
I think Chelsea Handler is hilarious. I LOVE her show Chelsea Lately on E! and I find her comedy amazing. This book was pretty good because it was written by those who she's affected in her pursuit of entertaining herself.
--Dead Reckoning (Sookie Stackhouse, Book 11), Charlaine Harris
This was not my favorite Sookie Stackhouse book by any means, but it wasn't a terrible book either. It was sort of lacking in the action and kind of blah. I hope the next one is better.
--Passion (Third in Fallen Series), Lauren Kate
I like this series, but there are a few weird things about it that kind of bother me. However, I'll save my final judgement of this series when I read the fourth and final book, whenever that comes out. I'm hoping some of those odd things maybe come together at the end.
Next up on my list:
--Let Me In, John Ajvide Lindqvist
Books I STILL need to read:
--The Glass Castle, Jeannette Walls
--The Glass Castle, Jeannette Walls
--Darkest Mercy (Wicked Lovely Series), Melissa Marr
--City of Fallen Angels (Mortal Instruments, Book 4), Cassandra Clare
Books I'm looking forward to being released:
--The Heroes of Olympus Book Two: The Son of Neptune, Rick Riordan, October 4
--Inheritance, (The Inheritance Cycle) Christopher Paolini, November 8
You should join GoodReads.com. You can keep track of all the books you've read and the ones you want to read. I've found a ton of great books that way.
ReplyDeleteOH what a great idea! All too often I forget what books I want to read and end up finding something that was never on my list instead. Although, just having a book to read makes me happy!
