Last Tuesday night, my very smart sister asked "Why don't you and Dale just meet in Branson for his 4-day weekend?"
Why I never thought of it? Who knows, but we took her up on that genius idea (she lives there if you didn't know). Dale got his pass approved the very next day and on Thursday evening, we both headed out. The kids and I left late in the evening so they'd sleep most of the way and we arrived at 3 a.m. Dale got in shortly afterwards. Luckily we stayed at my sister's house and she watched the kids for us the next morning so we could get a little sleep.
Parker was one happy fella when he got to see his dad. It was super cute. Macy was happy too, but she can't really show it like the Park does. Our family vacation was spent doing all sorts of fun things. We went to the biggest Bass Pro Shops ever in Springfield, saw a magic show, went to Ripley's Believe It or Not, went swimming at the rec plex, lit off fireworks, and most importantly spent time together.
As for me, seeing Dale was fantastic. It's funny how you forget the little things you love about a person if you see them everyday. Things like catching them smiling randomly at your children, or the way they wear their hat slightly cockeyed. I'm sure there's more but Macy's screaming at me, so I'll just cut this post short.
Here are some photos from our weekend. Thanks Jenny for letting us stay with you and thanks Dale for coming!

So glad that you were able to meet. Great pictures but do love the one of Parker on the phone with his daddy. :)
