Oh crap. I'm failing at my training again.
I've got 13 days until the half-marathon and as of right now, the furthest I've ran is 7.5 miles. That's no where near 13.
I have a billion excuses as to why I've sucked it up this month, but the number one reason is I just plain didn't try hard enough.
Today I ran an off-road Earth Day 5k with my sister and niece in Lincoln. It was the same trail I ran when I did that 10k in March. It was super fun, but 3.1 miles doesn't help me much when I'm training for a half. I decided to run another 3 tonight, just to up my miles for today.
The question is, if I can get in one good long run this week, will it be enough to push me through 13.1 miles? Last year I was worried about finishing. This year, I'm worried about finishing without walking. Seriously.
I had wanted to beat my last years time, but I know I just haven't trained hard enough. I guess my best will just have to do. It's kind of all I can do at this point.
