Randoms

1. The kids now have a play set in the backyard! This was a project that we've been looking forward to having since we bought this house. Of course, we couldn't just get a basic swing set. We had to get something super awesome. See stock image at right. It only took about 22 hours to put together, and other than the terrible directions and missing parts, it went pretty well.

2. I took Macy to the doctor today to get an x-ray of her leg. She hurt it yesterday going down our new slide. She kept saying owe and wouldn't walk on it at all yesterday. I debated taking her to the ER, but after reading a bunch of stuff online, I opted to ice it and give her motrin and see if it was better by morning. When she woke up, she still didn't want to walk on it, so I made an appointment with the doctor. Then an hour later, she decided she was completely fine and was running around. Little booger. We still went to the doctor just in case, and after a traumatic experience getting an xray done, found no obvious issues. Whew.

3. The dog has decided he's a part of our family and has officially become another thing that drives me crazy. He's a wild man and nothing on the floor is safe from his teeth. This includes my feet.

4. Tomorrow is May. That means after today, Dale's done with his civilian job for the year. It's kind of like a huge slap to my face that June is approaching faster than I want it to. I'm still trying to keep that positive attitude about it though. It's happening and I've just got to make the best of it.
