Parker now knows that there is a baby in mommy's tummy. When he wants to be lovey, he'll lift my shirt to tickle the baby. Occasionally he'll even give it a hug and a kiss. It's really the cutest thing I've ever seen.
He also talks about how the baby will grow bigger and bigger until it comes out, then it'll keep growing bigger like him. This makes me think he kind of understands what's going on.
However, he often talks about the baby in his tummy too, so maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part...
He's going to be a sweet big brother ...well he is already. :)
ReplyDeleteMy sisters grandson (Samuel) was the same way about a baby in his tummy while his mommy was expectant. He would suck his tummy in and out and show you that the baby was kicking. Samuel was a couple months short of 3 years when his new baby brother arrived!
