As most of you know, I'm a graphic designer. With this title comes an awesome little thing I'm able to do called freelance work.
For the past couple of months, I've been regularly getting a freelance job to do every few days. This has been very welcoming since I'm currently not working and the extra work will help fill that hole in my resume that I'll have for the next year or so. I love being able to use my talent for something other than my own agenda and I'd be lying if I didn't say the extra money was nice too.
This week I'm bombed with freelance work. It has taken up all my free time, hence the title of this post no-more-free-time-lance. Am I complaining? No. Just explaining why daily posts might not happen for a week or so.
Of course, I'm not sure if I have any regular readers or not, but if I do, I don't want to leave you checking multiple times a day to find that I've fallen off the face of the earth or something.
Freelance can be a beautiful thing - but it can also be like a heavy yoke around your neck. That self-employment tax isn't a picnic, either.
