Family time!

Dale came home yesterday. Whooohooo!

I've never seen a 3 year old so excited to see his daddy either. It's funny when he gets excited too because he has to point out all sorts of mundane things like every single lion picture on his umbrella stroller, or the leaves on the ground, or this tiny stick. It's a constant barrage of "Hey dad..." "Hey dad..." "Hey dad..."

I wasn't sure if Dale was going to be up for the Parker tornado or if he'd need some hands-off time, but he really embraced all the attention Parker was giving him. Which is good because I don't think Parker ever really left his side. :) Of course, I was super happy he was home too, but I'm not as cute as Parker.

Overall, I think Dale's in pretty good shape. He said his training was the best he's ever had even if some parts of it were the were no fun at all. He can't tell me much, but since I like to live in my happy little sheltered bubble, I'm just fine with that. We had a great dinner of steak and potatoes, had cheesecake for dessert, and then he put Parker's new train table together. Of course, I wasn't able to help because Parker banished me from the room, but the night was a great end to the longest 3 weeks ever.
