Today's post is going to be full of photos I should have posted earlier this month. The first is photos from while we were in Nebraska.
The boys got coupons for a free ice cream cone when they participated in the town Easter egg hunt, so one day we decided to order pizza from the quick shop, and get the kids their ice cream while we were there. It was the first time Parker ever had ice cream on a cone, and it was the first day he ever tried pizza. I think he took 3 whole bites before he decided playing was more important than eating. If you knew how picky of an eater my child is, you'd understand that him taking even one bite of pizza felt like I won the lottery. Haha.
While in Nebraska, Parker and his cousin Camden played super well together. One day they snuggled up together in Aurora's bed and read a book. I'm glad I was able to sneak this photo before they quit.
We had a pretty good day at Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo the weekend before we left. Well, other than Aurora getting sick that is. The morning started off pretty chilly, but as the day went on, the weather really got pretty nice. This was Parker's first trip to the "big" zoo, and he still talks about it daily. His favorite part was seeing the lions and tigers and watching the sharks swim over us in the aquarium.
Next up are photos from Branson. We were lucky enough to be there for my niece McKenna's 8th birthday. She had all her neighborhood friends over for pizza, brownies, and games. Parker got to play pin the tail on the donkey and hit the pinata.
Parker, McKenna and I went to the park the day before we left. Parker had a great time following McKenna around and sliding down all the slides. It was fun watching McKenna and Parker play. We threw rocks in the nearby creek/river, and the kids were good enough to even pose for a few photos while playing. It was a great end night to our trip home.
