Our trip home consisted of:
-1,158 miles or about 20 hours 40 minutes of driving time.
-3 days/4 nights in the comfort of my sisters home in Branson Missouri.
-1 night in the comfort of Holiday Inn Express in Jasper, Alabama.
-Around 16 hours of cartoons playing on our portable DVD player.
-One potty training "accident" that I never want to experience again.
Parker was a rockstar for our one-on-one trip. He was in a great mood the whole way and spent a lot of time kidding around with me. The only time he whined was when we were about an hour from home, which really was no big deal. I'm glad we drove majority of the way yesterday and only had a little bit to go today. We were able to get the car unpacked, do laundry, restock our fridge, make goodies for Dale's return, and just hang out at home and play.
Tomorrow we see Dale! Parker told me tonight before bet that he was excited to see his dad and show him how big he was. I'm willing to guess Dale will be more surprised with how big I am too. My gut popped out big time the past few weeks. I guess that's what I get for having a short torso and having nowhere for a baby to go but out.
My favorite Parkerism from our trip:
P: Dad drives fast. He's a speeder.
G: Yup, but mom's not.
P: No, mom's just a little speeder. Like this. (holds fingers a tiny bit apart) Dad's a big speeder, he speeds like this. (holds fingers as far apart as they can go)
