At my April checkup, Little Miss was head down. At my May checkup, she was head up and as of yesterday, I'm about 90% sure she flipped back to head down.
I don't think Parker did many summersaults in utero. From the time I could begin to feel him kicking, it was essentially in the same spot all the time and his head was always down for my checkups. I remember this specifically because the amount of pelvic pressure I had while pregnant with him was nearly unbearable.
It's strange to feel a baby do a 180 in your abdomen. I mean, it's not like it happens really quickly or anything, but it's a pretty obvious movement. It's really pretty awesome.
The downside to her being head down again is the pelvic pressure that makes it hard to walk and move. The upside is that's the way you want the baby to be for the whole birth process. I asked the doctor if there was anything I could do to alleviate the pain and she told me what I already knew... other than taking tylenol, there's nothing. And it's only going to get worse as she gets bigger. Boo.
I guess Little Miss just better enjoy her freedom to move now because soon she won't have any room left in there.
