If you're like me, you live a typical sheltered American life. We think our way is the only way and find other cultures interesting.
Here are a few interesting snippets from Dale's travels:
- So far I haven't seen many white lights in places unless they're American. Like in the foreign busses it was all different color lights. One had all the colors of the rainbow, ROYGBIV, then a gap and rainbow lights again.
-I have noticed that almost everything has English on it in some form. I know we bitch and think its messed up that there is Spanish on labels and instructions and food that we buy. And I have been on that bandwagon myself. But literally everywhere we have been, there is English. At the German airport, everything had both. Even the fire trucks had German on top and English on bottom. Street signs in both Kuwait and Germany had their native language and English on them. I guess it gave me a different view on that kind of stuff. We think its wierd or un-american to have spanish on a label we buy in the U.S. but over here English is on everything. Well almost everything.
