Over the past 29 days, which is when I last blogged about books, I've been busy reading. It's kind of my hobby I'd say. Especially now, when it's just the kids and I. I'm quite pleased with the books I read this month though. I'd suggest 6 of the 7 to anyone who likes to read.
-Shadow and Bone, Leigh Bardugo
This was a different one than I'm used to reading, but I really enjoyed it. Started and ended well.

-I am Number Four (Lorien Legacies), Pittacus Lore
Yeah for a great book and yay another series!! I'm currently on the reserve list at the library for the next book from this author, The Power of Six.
-Rapture (Fallen), Lauren Kate
This was the last of the Fallen series and I'd say it was wrapped up quite nicely. A bit slow at times, and some things in the series seemed out of place or lost, but it wasn't too bad.
-Dragon's Keep, Janet Lee Carey
I randomly grabbed this one off the shelf, but it was a great choice. Another fantasy novel. I guess that's what I like best because it's good but never hits too close to home.
-The Hobbit, J.R.R. Tolkien
Yes, this is the first time I've ever read The Hobbit. I know, collective gasp, of all the books I've read, you'd think this would have been done by now. It's wonderful, and I'm really looking forward to the movie that is coming out soon.
-Graceling, Kristin Cashore
Read this. If there is one book on this list that I would recommend most, it would be Graceling. I loved it.
-The Serpent's Shadow (The Kane Chronicles, Book Three), Rick Riordan
This is the 7th, and it's iffy. I'm such a fan of Riordan's Percy Jackson and Heroes of Olympus series, I really want to like The Kane Chronicles as much, but I don't. It's kind of a struggle to read, but alas, I'll keep on with it because I'm already 3 books into the series, so what the heck.
Up next:
Fifty Shades of Grey Trilogy, EL James
Deadlocked (Sookie Stackhouse/True Blood Book 12), Charlaine Harris
The Power of Six (Lorien Legacies), Pittacus Lore
