I survived Black Friday and to be quite honest it really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I had figured that since people aren't the nicest here, I"d run into a lot of rudeness, but it was quite the opposite. The people were nice.
It probably helped that I didn't go to any stores that were just opening and where people were rushing to get the deals. We got to Kohls about 3 hours after it opened and I got just one more gift for Parker. Then we moved onto Target, where the line was wrapped around the back of the store, so I just waited in line while my friend Jenny got what she wanted. I hit up Lowes for a flashlight, Michaels for a few crafty items, and Walmart for some basics. Then we went to the mall where I was able to get Parker a Christmas outfit and some stuff from Bath and Body Works. We also went to Old Navy, where Macy got some winter clothes and the Shoe Carnival, where I got a pair of UGG knockoffs.
Next year, I'm going to wait to buy my Christmas stuff until Black Friday again. That's what I did last year and it was a lot more fun in the end.
