Boys trip

Last Wednesday night, Parker and Dale left on a journey to Nebraska to attend a surprise 50th birthday party for his dad. The first half of their boys only trip has gone well from what I hear, and the only thing that hasn't gone so smoothly is bedtime. This is when Parker starts to miss his home and his mommy, I"m pretty sure. Normally, we have a pretty great bedtime routine that includes 3 books, watching for the goodnight moon, talking about our day, and saying our prayers. Of course, without mommy, his routine has changed so each night the boys have been gone, I get a phone call from my sad boy. :(

I know it's good for him to learn to deal with things if I'm not there, but it's hard to be away from him for so long. He's my little amigo and provides me with majority of my entertainment each day. I get to hear all about how cute and funny he's being while he's gone and I'm jealous that I can't be there too. Boo.

Macy and I stayed in Alabama because she HATES the car. As in cries each and every time we are in the car and a person can only do so much to soothe her while she's stuck in her car seat. We plan on traveling to Nebraska for Christmas, so we kind of had to decide if we wanted to make her suffer for a 40 hour round trip car ride two months in a row or not. Obviously we chose to wait to take our car trip from hell next month, when we'll have more days to travel and rest.

Macy and I are patiently waiting for our guys to return. It's just a little too boring here without them.
