Our last trip to the beach

Last weekend we decided to head down to Destin, FL to see beach one last time before it closed due to the oil. It was a beautiful day and the beach was packed. If it wasn't for the "official volunteers" stationed about every 400 yards on the beach, you never would have known there was anything potentially wrong with the water. We played and played until the oil and tar balls started washing in. It wasn't obvious at first, but when Dale swam back in after snorkeling and had a blob of tar attached to his leg as well as oil spots on his trunks, we sadly called it a day. It's really just sad.

The tar ball that ended our trip. Dale said he saw a lot more when he was snorkeling too.

We ate at a local seafood joint before returning home. Dale treated himself to King Crab Legs as his Father's Day dinner. Those things were HUGE!
