Now where do you live again? It seems hard for people to fathom exactly how far south we are living. Heck, it's hard for me to come to grips with how far down here we are. This map helps to give one an understanding of how far away from home we are. It's approximately 1,100 miles, or 18.5 hours by car from Lincoln. It's the same driving distance home as it would be if we took a trip to New York. That's crazy.
This closer view shows you exactly how close we are to the Gulf of Oil, I mean Gulf of Mexico. Yes, we are just a short 2 hours away. It would have been a super awesome year to go to the beach tons of times, but no, we couldn't get that lucky could we?
