My due date is a week from Sunday. Holy crap!
Today I had my weekly check-up and there's not much change to report from my last appointment. I'm 1.5 cm dilated and 80% effaced, so I haven't made much progress in the past 2.5 weeks. Darn. I'm kind of mad that all these cramps/contractions I've been having are doing nothing but being annoying.
My doctor wasn't sure about my amniotic fluid levels because the umbilical cord was floating in the open spaces so I had to wait longer and get an ultrasound done today. It turns out that all is well and my fluid levels are fine. I got confirmation that I am absolutely having a girl (whew) and her ultrasound weight estimate is at 7lbs 13oz. Of course this can go a pound and a half either direction, so I'm not going to read too much into it.
My next appointment is next Thursday (if I don't go into labor before that) and we may talk induction at that point. She said today that I could if I wanted to, I just had to let her know. I decided to let Little Miss have another week before I commit to anything. I know it would be easier to schedule it, but since I was induced with Parker, I kind of wanted to let this one play out naturally. I don't know. I guess we'll see in a week how I feel if I haven't had her yet.
