Too much, too soon?

It's a brisk 84 degrees out today, so I thought why not take the kids to the park? We haven't been there since May/June because it's been so hot, so I knew Parker would have fun.

I got the kids fed and dressed and we headed out. It was sprinkling a tiny bit, but I was going to brave it. We were the only ones there for the first 15 minutes, then a ton of kids showed up, and Parker spent his time avoiding the other kids instead of playing. One girl's mom was trying to get her daughter to play with Parker since they were about the same age, but right at that moment, I got really lightheaded.

I've done my fair share of passing out, so I know when things aren't looking so good. My head gets fuzzy and I get a ringing in my ears, and that's what I started to have. So I became and unfriendly mom and told Parker it was time to go get ice cream, so he wouldn't fight having to leave. Once I sat down in the car, I felt a million times better so we stopped at Sonic to get a drink and a vanilla shake and came home.

Now I'm thinking 11 days postpartum was a bit soon for me to venture out all alone with the two of them. Dang. I was hoping to start walking again soon, but now I think I had better wait a few more weeks.
