Yesterday we drove to Destin, Florida to spend a day at the beach. It was a glorious 78 degrees, which was perfect was our young little family. Parker had a great time filling his water buckets and jumping the waves with Dale and I. Macy had fun digging in the sand, splashing water in a bucket, and watching her favorite person in the world, her big brother.
After a few hours at the beach, Macy started to get grumpy so we headed out to the nearby Bass Pro Shops and outdoor mall giving her time to take a little nap and rejuvenate herself. We took our time strolling around the stores, then decided to get some seafood at one of our favorite seafood restaurants, The Crab Trap.
It was a good easy-going day at the beach, and the kids did great. They both fell asleep before we were out of Destin, I think that means they had a pretty good time too.
