Running for tea

Today I ran 11.16 miles and shockingly, it wasn't really that hard for me to do. I think that's pretty good news for my half-marathon confidence level. With about 7 1/2 days to go until the big race, I'm finally feeling like I won't look completely out of my league while I'm running.

When I was done running, I was craving a big huge unsweet iced tea. I couldn't get it out of my mind, so I stopped at the quick shop and what should I find, no unsweet iced tea. NONE. There were sweet tea bottles, sweet tea from the fountain, and brewed sweet tea, but not a single unsweet tea anywhere. Lame. Bummed, I got an iced mocha instead, which FYI does not satisfy a craving for unsweet iced tea.

It's a good thing this race is in the North where unsweet tea is everywhere, because I'll probably be craving another big huge unsweet iced tea when I'm done.

  1. I'm proud of you Gail! I'm also confident in you. You've taken on a huge challenge and I believe you will conquer it. ............ I have only ran for 1 mile without stopping. :) But continue to push myself to keep 4 miles down in 40 minutes. I wish you the best.
